About Me -- David

My name is David Woodfield, and I live in Māori Hill in Dunedin with my wife, Patricia, our toy poodle, Neo, and our Birman, QT. I like Dunedin for its vistas, historical buildings & vibrant cultural life. My favourite subject at high school and university was the history of art. I like relaxing with a good book and a coffee in a sunny spot. The kinds of books I enjoy include biographies, explorations of Christian history and ideas, and interior design tomes. I also enjoy listening to a wide variety of music and watching romantic comedies and science fiction movies. My good point, I would say, is my creativity & my bad is leaving things to the last minute. My goal is to be the person God created me to be, one step at a time.

      One of my favourite singer-songwriters is Bruce Cockburn. He is an accomplished guitarist & songwriter. Check him out on YouTube or Spotify.

      I guess some of my professors at university introduced me to some great writers such as the novelists Charles Dickens and Janet Frame.

      I think the Botanical Gardens has some nice spots in which to relax with a book & a coffee on a sunny day.

      There are some quite nice walks through the Green Belt between town & Māori Hill. You may know some of them.

My name is Hanako Iwatsuki. I’m from Japan.  I’m currently living in Andersons Bay with Hugh family, but I’m going to move to another house in St Kilda with Hogan family next week.  Hi, I’m Miyu TOKUMOTO from Japan. I’m 21 years old and I was born in Nara. I’m specializing in language course at university. I’m currently staying on Green Island with a lovely family, and there’s also an adorable dog named Charlie. My main goal here is to improve my conversation skills.
