About Me -- Milae

  My name is Milae Choe. I'm from Seoul, Korea. I'm living now in Maori hill with my host family. There are five members in my host family, host parents and three children. They all are lovely, especially the baby who is 1 years old is super adorable. Sometimes she calls my name and smile to me, it makes me feel happy. 

  The first time I've been to Dunedin was a travel. I love traveling by myself in my free time. I traveled to some countries after graduate university. One of them was New Zealand and then I thought Dunedin would be good for studying English because it looked very safe and the people were very friendly. So I came here again to go to university. And my first impression of Dunedin was right, it's safe and peaceful. I like Dunedin.

  I'm a big fan of Tottenham Hotspur which is a team in England football league. Usually in my free time, I watched the football match, but nowadays my team is terrible so I'm not watching the match for my stress level. My good point is that I usually have positive attitude but my bad point is that I'm vulnerable to stress. 

  Since I was a middle school student, I really liked science and math, especially biology. That's one of the reason I choose medical laboratory science for my major. My goal is to live in both New Zealand and Korean working as medical lab scientist. Before going to university, I want to learn many skills for university in EAP course.

    Your host family sound nice & the baby cute. Holding a baby in your arms is something special, isn't it? They have a vitality and 'joie de vivre' which is infectious. What are your other hobbies besides watching football?

My name is David Woodfield, and I live in Māori Hill in Dunedin with my wife, Patricia, our toy poodle, Neo, and our Birman, QT. I like Dunedin for its vistas, historical buildings & vibrant cultural life. My favourite subject at high school and university was the history of art. I like relaxing with a good book and a coffee in a sunny spot. The kinds of books I enjoy include biographies, explorations of Christian history and ideas, and interior design tomes. I also enjoy listening to a wide variety of music and watching romantic comedies and science fiction movies.  Hi, I’m Miyu TOKUMOTO from Japan. I’m 21 years old and I was born in Nara. I’m specializing in language course at university. I’m currently staying on Green Island with a lovely family, and there’s also an adorable dog named Charlie. My main goal here is to improve my conversation skills.
