High-Tech Education-Aoi Matsumoto

High-Tech Education

I think it is modern and helpful for our study that machines can know when  we lose concentration or how many times we touch our phones. However,I don’t like that a computer checks my action and send it to teachers and parent.I felt like someone is always watching me.I believe that learning through activities can lead to positive change. Nowadays, education focuses on classroom learning, but experiencing

something through action helps students understand

more deeply and remember things better.

  1. I hate to be invaded my privacy, so I understand your feeling. I’m concerned this method affects on students’ mental health. What would you do if this method were introduced into your school?

  2. I felt a little uncomfortable studying under supervision. I don't think there's anything wrong with modern study methods that involve advanced technology, but I think we should also embrace traditional study methods.

  3. I strongly agree with you that the High technology device that they use to measure the students concentration is quite scary. I think it’s threatened student’s privacy and it could lead them to have too much stress and have more mental problems in the future.

  5. A balanced approach to this topic, Aoi, well done. Perhaps the monitoring of student behaviour should be by & large for the student's own consideration & reflection, & only be released to teachers & parents if the student consents.

  6. I totally agree with your opinion that AI gadgets take away our privacy. Do you have any ideas for connecting high-tech and learning through experience?
