Pandemic of the past - A reflection - Miyu TOKUMOTO
The most surprising thing about pandemics for me was COVID-19, because it happened in my own life. I was shocked that schools and shops were closed for a long time, and that international travel almost stopped.
The most frightening factor was the speed of infection. The virus spread to every country in only a few months, and many people died. This was scary because we could not control it quickly even with modern medicine.
From past pandemics and COVID-19, I learned that we must prepare better for the future. For example, governments should improve medical systems, share information faster, and people should know how to protect themselves.
Finally, I think there were also positive changes from COVID-19. For example, online classes and remote work became common. Also, people began to care more about hygiene and public health. These changes can be useful in the future.

i would say Preparing is viral for everything
ReplyDeleteI feel you. During the COVID pandemic, there were increase of a lot of people who caught COVID everyday and it scared me.
ReplyDeleteI also think that the change that the Covid-19 bought to the working/learning environment is welcoming. People begin to accept working/learning remotely more which allows more flexibility to us.
ReplyDeleteThe world becomes smaller since the pandemic. We can connect with others who are thousand kilometres away in just seconds.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I think some companies still do a remote work after COVID-19. It's really interesting change.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your point. The COVID-19 pandemic has led many countries to develop better medical and public health systems. Therefore, educating the public about hygiene is essential.
ReplyDeleteI think so. From the past, we have learned how to prepare ourselves better.
ReplyDeleteHello, Miyu, I absolutely agree with you that during Covid-19 happened, it was totally horrible and terrified because many people I know has suffered from the lost of some closed friends or family. I hope we could come up with some plans in order to mitigate the casualties as much as we can in the future.
