Volunteering abroad - Miyu TOKUMOTO


 Volunteering abroad gave Olena and Carmen a chance to learn about different cultures and to grow as people. They also helped local people by teaching, supporting education, and sharing ideas.

I do not plan to volunteer abroad, but I would like to do volunteer work in Japan. For example, I want to help foreign tourists when they are in trouble. I think it would be a good way to use my English and make their stay in Japan more comfortable.

    It is a good idea. The number of foreign tourist is increasing recently, so Japanese who are proficient in English is essential for tourism revitalisation.

My name is David Woodfield, and I live in Māori Hill in Dunedin with my wife, Patricia, our toy poodle, Neo, and our Birman, QT. I like Dunedin for its vistas, historical buildings & vibrant cultural life. My favourite subject at high school and university was the history of art.  Hi, I’m Miyu TOKUMOTO from Japan. I’m 21 years old and I was born in Nara. I’m specializing in language course at university.
