Volunteering Abroad - New
After I have watched two interviews with Olena and Carmen returned Peace Corps volunteers, I felt that their dedication and their strong determination are really inspiring.
In my personal opinion, volunteering abroad gave Olena a memorable experience for her life to immersed into the Morocco culture and make a lot of friendship with local people. On the other hand, for Carmen, I believe that volunteering abroad made her feel fulfilling because she completely dedicated her talents or knowledge to help other people who are in need.
In terms of how volunteering abroad enrich the lives of those they were working amongst, I believe that for Olena, she made those people have an opportunity to improve their English skills as she taught English language to them. Moreover, she also taught life skills to them. Therefore, they could be able to handle a real life issue better. Furthermore, for Carmen, she also made those people to have an opportunity to have a better education. As a result, they could have a better future career.
For me, this is quite a difficult question to answer because I’m not sure that I will be qualified to be a volunteer because I’m not a strong, resilient and independent person. However, after I watched a volunteering interview, I feel that if I could do a volunteering work, it would give me a sense of true happiness or rewarding because I can help people who need support and make their lives to be better. In terms of a country that I would like to volunteer in, I actually don’t have a specific country in mind. But I would like to do a volunteer that are related to nature or animals because I think I would feel enjoyable to do them in a long period of time.

I believe you are suit for volunteering because you are thoughtful and independent. Perhaps you can practice the experience of volunteering abroad in here!
