Neurodiversity & the iNDx Art Exhibition - New

     For me, the most interesting thing I learned about neurodivergence during our class was the fact that many famous people have the neurodiversity such as Bill Gates has a dyscalculia or Tom Cruise who has a dyslexia.  However, this doesn’t stop them from doing what they like or passionate to do.  Moreover, they are very successful in their lives.  Therefore, I think that they are really inspiring people for us who may experience some difficulties in our lives but if we look at these people, we can have a strong heart or strong determination to continue to face all the challenging things in our lives and do our best to cope with them.   As a result, I really admire them.

     After I visited the iNDx exhibition, this makes me understand the neurodivergent that it doesn’t matter that someone is autistic or has the neurodivergent.  If they have a strong determination or keen on doing something, they can create something that are very special and amazing.  For example, all the paintings that I have seen today were fascinating and had their own unique beauty.

My name is David Woodfield, and I live in Māori Hill in Dunedin with my wife, Patricia, our toy poodle, Neo, and our Birman, QT. I like Dunedin for its vistas, historical buildings & vibrant cultural life. My favourite subject at high school and university was the history of art.
