Boyan Slat & the Ocean Cleanup — Milae

     I think Boyan Slat’s Ocean Cleanup project is very impressive. While most people care about the environment, they often don’t take real action or only follow simple, small steps. However, Slat thought differently and carried out his own unique approach. I think his creativity, courage to try new ideas, and determination to act on them even at a young age have all contributed to his achievements.

    Although his first idea of an autonomous system did not work, he didn't give up. He showed strong patience and a real passion for solving problems by improving his methods. In the long run, I believe the Ocean Cleanup will be successful because his passion and strong spirit of challenge are likely to lead the project to success.

I like Dunedin for its vistas, historical buildings & vibrant cultural life. My favourite subject at high school and university was the history of art.
